Hello Nilks
thanks to the answer.

we have new Lipos and two different brands.

we tried various final drive ratios and the motors was always cool in the 65 to 75 degrees celscius.

i am experiencing funny behaviour from my rs pro.
i am using a spektrum receiver and transmitter.

the problem is that if i go 100% throttle and then i slowly back off until neutral, the ESC remains stuck at around 10% throttle. So even with my trigger on neutral the car moves forward. If i slightly touch the brakes it stops.

Is there anything i can do?

i am using a custom profile in sensored mode.

min throttle is 10%
neutral width is 30 (i just realised i can try increasing this just in case it fixes it but i am currently charging batteries.)

pmc, what are your timing settings? I find a bit too much timing can cause this, especially with the lrp motors.

If anyone is interested I ran mod with a non-pro RS and a 7.5t Trinity Nemesis last weekend. Here is my setup. It was running no problem with 4.5t's and had more rip. Track was very large and flowing, I'd say a 175ft straight.

T3 2011
Nemesis 7.5t
RS with v212
FDR: 8.1
Motor timing: +5*
start RPM: 6,000
end RPM: 32,000
timing boost: 46
turbo: 10
turbo delay: 0.3
turbo ramp: 2
throttle profile: 2
minimum throttle: 5

Temps were 180-190f after 5 minutes. Ambient temp was 85* and the track surface was 115-120*. The RS showed 3 to 4 lights for the temp.

did you try 0 motor timing that may have dropped the temp down 10-15

Hm, that's not too awfully high. You could try backing it down a bit (40/10 maybe) but unless you are bringing the timing in way to quick/early, that shouldn't be the problem.

Boost - 48

The issue I have is that from 1% to 50% throttle on my transmitter, the power delivered to the motor remains the same. After 50% the boost kicks in and at 100% throttle the turbo kicks in.

Is there any way I can get the 1% to 50% throttle to increase gradually?

Thanks
First off I would recommend decreasing you throttle minimum to around 0-5%, then increase your RPM range from let's say 7000 to 22000. Drop your motor timing to neutral or in the negative. Also, recalibrate the ESC to your TX again.

Try that and let us know.

Change your throttle profile to 3, increase your end rpm, and possibly reduce your amount of timing.
Sounds like the motor is struggling with a the timing being thrown at it, and by the time it gets up to speed, your full throttle and it's throwing more timing at it!

Thanks for all the replies.

Just changed settings as recommended and already feels much better. Will have to test it at the track next and see how it goes.
