Unhappy 13.5T Tekin esc setup

Hi Randy I am running a Orion 13.5t with my Tekin RS Pro. I have loaded the latest version software, but just cannot seem to get a competitive setup. Our track is not to big with a lot of corners. Can you perhaps give me a good starting setup? Thanks

Need more info. 1s or 2s (TC, 1/12th, what?), what is your entire current set-up? Where are you getting beat? etc. etc.

Well I run 1/12th so I can only help you based on what I've seen and read but there are plenty of others on here that can get you straight. They are going to want to know what your set-up is now.

Endbell timing
Boost
Turbo
FDR
RPM points
Ramp
etc. etc.

If you just want a good starting set-up, look on the website. There should be some good ones on there.

My set-up with an LRP motor.

85mm rollout
-10 endbell timing (probably close to 15-20 degrees on a tekin) I would go between 0-12 on a Tekin.
Boost 35 (go with 40-45 on a Tekin with less endbell timing)
Turbo 8, ramp 1, delay .4
End rpm 7500
Start around 2000
A little bit of push, I think 10 or 15.

If laptimes are falling off hard late in the race, try reducing timing before dropping teeth on the pinion. If the motor is cool and not falling off bad, try going up a tooth before adding more timing.

Default need help

Hey guys, I know this must be asked for many times but I hardly get anything aftering searching this great post. So I put it here: I'm interested in RSPro (212) for mod racing but meanwhile I also got something that the LRP is smoother and lower-temp than RSpro for mod racing, or the RSpro dual drive mode for mod racing is not fast enough and gets high temp. I'm confused and wondering whether RSpro (212) is as good as LRP or even better in smooth and temp? and why?

Any input will be appreciated. btw I'm running FXR for crawler and it's great

Good morning,

we run "N" 17.5 motors in our sedan class (by rules), I have the endbell timing set at 45, RS speedo in spec mode,

Brake 100%
Drag brake 20
No Boost
No turbo
Throttle profile 3
Current limiter None

Here is my problem:

I upped the endbell timing to 45 (before it was 30, with a 53 pinion), I do a 5min with a 50 pinion and get off at 172 degrees wich is too much, but I did apply the 1 tooth per 5 degrees of timing recommendation.

I then go down to a 47 pinion and get off the track after 5 minutes at 175 degrees ?????

I don't understand, I went down 6 teeth and it still overheats!

Thanks for the help
