Nope...most of the guys at our track run an RS and don't seem to have this issue.

I wonder if it is my battery starting to drop off in performance...might have to borrow one and see.

That could very well be the cause, what lipo are you running ?

Got a problem with my RS pro
Only running 17.5 fdr 6.5 and until now it has worked fine but today it feels like it had gone sensorless, then now and agian the boost will kick in for a blip and drop again. I have changed motors and sensor wires and also opened up the motor to check its not the sensor board. Will it be worth reinstalling 212 to see if it is a software issue ? Do hope it is as I have only used it 5 meetings since it was sent to Tekin for replacement.

Any ideas would be great

Also I'm only running 17.5 motors...it isn't like I am taxing what the ESC should be able to do. Well I'll just wait and see what happens with the one that went in for repair today and I have a new one on the way as well.
Try doing the calibration at 90% and then up to 100% or higher on the throttle

I am looking in getting the RS or RS Pro. I am going to be running 17.5 Boosted. Is there any advantages in shelling out a few $$$ extra for the pro?
Also, sounds like some people are having issues with glitches and with power drops. Has these problems been solved or is it just an isolated occurrence?

Not really worth the extra $ for the pro if you only plan to run higher turn motors

I think the glitches are isolated occurrences. I have an RS and an RS Pro and have never had any issues. I know many people with several Tekin ESCs too that have never had a problem.

What servo are you using? Is there any consistency on the issue? Or is it totally random?

I would have a look at your connector to the reciever. i have had a simular issue, where the car drops in and out of boost/power as the connector rattles around in the receiver. I replaced the cable and all sorted. It's because we pull the cable in and out on a regular basis to change settings, no biggie.

Yep, only glitching/problems I've ever had with my oldest RS were sorted after replacing the servo lead and power switch wires.

Its mainly no boost but sometimes it will stutter into boost but not stay there.I am using the Savox low profile servo. it has been ok for a good year before this. I will check the receiver plug. When you guys have replaced them do you mean open the speedo up and replace it ?

Cheers for the reply

There are several ways to replace the plug and/or wire.
opening the case is one of them, you can also splice a new peice cut from an extension cable or pull apart and crimp a new plug.

I can neither confirm or deny that any of these actions will void your warrenty.

best way to tell is accelerate on the table and wiggle the plug, not to hard though as free revving is bad

That is insane. I would consider that setup/FDR to be a little extreme even for a 17.5, I can't believe it worked with a 7.5.
