Is the new software version officially released yet or is it still unofficial?

It's officially unofficial Beta software that can be requested from me. I'm getting it to anyone that asks as long as you tell me where you live/race. I like to hook you up with any team drivers in your area.

There will be an official new release out soon that is adding a few more things.

I have shortlisted the rs pro for my 009.

I would like to know if the rs pro + redline sensored 10.5T is competitive (or better ) against the lrp sphere/x11 10.5T combo.

I also want the possibility to run modified class. Do I need to add anything else other than just replacing the motor?

any suggestions for a quality lipo battery (4900mah+)?

this is my first plunge in electric. I've been driving only nitro so far.

thanks in advance.

yes it is, I'm using this combo and am right on the pace, took 2nd and 3rd at the last two rounds of carpet wars in the UK in 10.5.

Of course you will be every bit as fast with the Tekin. The RS Pro will handle any of the mod motors. On super hight bite carpet or hot asphalt our only recomendation will be the addition of a second cap and small fan blowing on the solder posts IF needed. Most of the time it's not neccessary.

Adding more things? I'm gonna haveta dig into the Virtual Memory again? Effin Vista.

I definitely noticed the need to gear down with the timing boost. I'm down 4 teeth on the pinion. Was 44/88 now 40/88, Seems like the motor likes to be allowed to rev a lot more.

I can't think of any situation where you'd need a fan with a 10.5 in the RS Pro. Maybe with a low turn motor like a 4.5 or less on a hot day on the asphalt, or in real high grip situations where the low turn motor is pulling a LOT of current on acceleration. Running a regular non-pro RS here, and a 10.5 has never even gotten it warm to the touch.

I would definitely recommend getting the Hotwire to go with the RS.

Hi Randy,
a while back I think you talked about some kind of worlds kit for the RS pro.
Maybe an aluminium ESC case to act as a heatsink, and extra cap and a fan.
Is this still a possibility or has it been put to the side for now?

Thanks

Hey,

Yeah we've sidelined that project for now. I'm not saying it won't come out, just saying it's on the side for now.

I don't know exactly what it is but I can tell you that the center of the timing marks is advanced (not zero). You can also turn the physical timing up extremely high with the Orion's Just make shure that you don't short the sensor board in the motor (at the plug) against the tab. I put some tape under the sensor connector on mine before we had the boost software.

With some tape under the coeenctor and a little jiggling you can turn up the physical timing to the point that the motor cogs.
