Default Timing profile 1

What kind of FDR's are you guys running with stock no boost profile. I'm looking for a track with a 75 foot straight. 17.5 1/10 TC.

That's 1161 pages. This reply would make 17407

I think the track I race at has a little bit of a longer strait. Yesterday I was geared at 3.85. Other people at the track were geared anywhere from 3.4-4.1. I'd start at 4.0 and adjust as necessary.

Make sure you check forward and reverse speeds with the Novak Ballistic. I had major problems with Ballistic motors with my RS (reverse faster than forward) that are referenced a number of pages back and in this video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJWiwi4Nqt0

The problem went away after I switched to a Tekin Redline BL motor.

Any detail what the error was related to? Seems kind of weird that ROAR would have an issue if this was something that fell outside of the requirements for a approved spec setting. Not trying to put you on the spot but for the sake of transparency it would be interesting to know what exactly ROAR was concerned about.

Thanks,
Chuck
According to ROAR's status, they're awaiting a new software update. By the lack of information being provided, it seems that the 208 No Timing profile wasn't in spec to begin with. Or, you can get the blinky by setting other options besides the No Timing profile.

The good news is, the revised software should be ready by Cleveland?

I'm using a Ballistic 17.5 with Hara's IIC settings and that thing screams. Timing on the motor is slightly + of N on the can. ONly problem I had with the ballistic was when I tried to turn the motor timing way down.

I need help...

When I connect the batts and switch on my RS Pro, it does not light up and chime.

The fan and transponder are working. I checked all the connections and all are well.

I was using a 17.5 with zero timing.

It was doing great in the qual heats and by the time the last final, it went dead.

Any clues from you guys?

Thnks.

Not sure if it's been asked before, but if I wanted to use Hara's settings for 17.5 Superstock in a Novak Ballistic instead of the Duo 2 he used at the IIC, with all things being equal, what would you change to not fry the motor (motor timing, ESC settings)?

Then, if I wanted to tone the settings down again cause i'm nowhere even close to his throttle control, what would i modify (gearing, rpm range, boost, turbo)?

Thanks,

Ivan

Hara's ESC settings are pretty safe. I would first start with lower motor timing, and perhaps work with the gearing as well.

Hara's setup isn't that forgiving. Make sure you have your gearing down BEFORE you turn on the turbo. Not doing so can ruin a motor.

For the orange motor setup it up to be -5 from the N mark. This will get you close to Hara's Duo2 setup.

I eased up to Hara's settings and I don't drive quite as hard he does. Thanks for the motor setting tip.

On that note, do you have a Redline motor setting for Donny Lia's 13.5 12th scale settings?

Thanks,
Carter
