Right where the instructions show to solder it.

What's a bless motor? I'm guessing you mean use a sensorless motor with your Tekin RS Pro? I believe the RS has a sensorless mode...but not real sure.

Not sure about running a locked diff...but most likely it is too much power for those tires.

im guessing he meant b/less (brushless abbreviation).. running without the sensor wire for the 4.5t is fine, but you must make sure the ESC is set to dual mode (sensorless).

it will go in dual mode automatically if the wire is not used

Default Launch control

I do remember Tekin commenting on this before saying that the feature does little to nothing. I believe it was in this thread. But I recently picked up a ESC that has launch control. Hold brake for a few seconds and at the first sign of throttle, you get full power. But it seems to me that this ESC is doing more than just giving you full power at the launch. I believe some timing is being played with. The car just accelerates a lot harder. Free wheeling it, the tires balloon a lot more with launch control then with out.

So here's my idea:

Incorporate a launch control with timing adjustment.

Make it so holding brake for a certain amount of time puts the ESC into launch mode. Then in the hotwire, ad a launch control slider. I don't really know what kind of timing adjustments are beneficial at launch. I have a feeling that just a set amount of timing is good. Maybe a ramp is needed, I don't know.

Just an idea.

What "Launch control" was on some brushed escs, was a current limiter bypass for at the start of a race.

Mac is correct. Any esc that is giving you a "launch" start is holding back power otherwise. We don't offer a "launch" because when you ask for full power, we give it to you.

I'm having a problem downloading the hotwire on window 7. Actaully two of use are having the problem. Is there something we are doing that is not letting us download the software?

tnx for the info folks!
greately appreciated!
1 more question --

my esc rs pro gets super hot?
using a 93tzpur/ 33tpinion -64-
on a serpent s400 -- so hot that the sticky underneath the esc started to curl and unglue?
should i go higher or lower gear ratio? suggestions?

Even though my answer was right, this still does not excuse yourself of when the software updates will be available.

Using contractors for software development sucks.

So far i have no Launch problem with my RS pro. All my launch was way faster then the LRPs with Launch controls, to a point if i tighten the rear diff too much i can actually pop a slight wheelie.
From what i see the power given out from the RS pro is like when you want is where you want it.

my 2 cents.
