No, sensored only uses the timing set by the motor. But, you should still set the timing advance to 100% so that if the sensor wire breaks, the ESC will still be able to run the motor to the best of it's ability.

What Joe said!

If you're running in sensored only we go off motor timing plus some timing inside which is about 15 degrees. The new boost software adds on top of that.

If you're looking for a reason to have a Hotwire you've now been given one.

Just in time for Xmas, makes a great stocking stuffer!

When is the newest version of Hot Wire due out? Will there be a custom throttle curve section, like the Mamba systems have?

i am very much interested in the rs pro. i have both novak and lrp esc and a range of motors. my question is about the hotwire - i run a b1 in 1/18 scale and fx pro in 1/10 buggy offroad and i am looking to the rs pro for 1/12 and trans am - but does the same hotwire work for all 3(b1, fx pro, rs pro)? and software?

and for 1/12 scale stock(17.5 or 27t) what motors do you guys like best?

and for 1/12 scale ss(13.5 or 19t) what motors do you guys like best?

i look forward to your responses.

The Hotwire is compatible with all the speed controls you mentioned, B series, R1 series RS series as well as the brushed FX series.

You WILL be very happy if you tried the Tekin line of motors for sure. 17.5, 13.5, 10.5 etc....

Just so you know if you want to save some dollars.... you really only need the pro version for on-road modified touring.

Hello, I've just setup my TB Evo 5 MS with the RS Pro and Redline sensored 10.5 but my throttle channel needs to be reversed to run right.

I've checked my connections and polarity, and am out of ideas. Help will be much appreciated! Many thanks.

not going to lie to you... does this really matter? i fail to see why that would be a problem, thats the reason behind channel reverse.

any idea when the new firmware will be out, a real upgrade in my opinion, seen the cars at the champs with it
i would even run the beta version!

Not sure what you're asking? Are you indicating that you shouldn't have to reverse the throttle servo setting? Some radios (Futaba I believe) need to have the throttle servo direction reversed in order to work correctly. Sounds like normal operation to me.

Meaning that when I setup the ESC as per instructions and have the throttle channel setting on normal (Futaba 3PK), trigger forward gives me full throttle and trigger backwards gives me full brake.

Yes it matters dammit I'm anal. Kidding. Didn't have to do that for my brushed setup and since it's my first brushless I thought it best to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong.

Thanks!

I have the throttle reversed on my 3PK too.

Is it normal for a 13.5 to scream like a 3.5 (on the bench) with the new software? It'll be interesting to see how it does on the track.
