Yeah i'm going to get the hotwire because this is a tough ESC to adjust. I'm having a hard time locking out reverse!

I'm having trouble adjusting the throttle curve from mild to aggressive. Can anybody help me out? Will the hotwire also allow me to lockout reverse and change the throttle curve?

yes it will.

change the motor type to forward running, and go up on the throttle curve from 3 to 4 or 4 to 5 etc.

Next weekend I'll be running on a relatively small parking lot track. Technical infield with a 60-70 ft straight. What would be a baseline setup?

Current setup is:
HB Moorespeed 6.0fdr
Orion 17.5 0deg motor timg
Checkpoint 5000 40c
Timing boost: 40
Turbo: 15
Ramp: 3
Delay: .5
Start:5442
End: 20,000

Hi

I ran my car on the weekend at a race meet and suffered a motor failure during a run. I thought the motor had just died so i changed it for a new one but now my RS Speedy is now flashing Lights 1,2, 6 and 7. I have looked at the instructions and it say's that this is a motor type selected error but i have it in the right type.

So my question is has my speedy died as well when the motor went ? And if so what can i do to get it to go again .

hi yeah sorry to say its dead as a door nail
mine happened just when i turned it on was fine before on the previous run with the same motor and settings just got ready for a race and it started flashing had to send it back to tekin said it was a short in the internal circuitry was unable to pinpoint the reason and there was no fixing it
just sent me new unit contact tekin mate

I've used it in a 12th car, but it seems to work best when you use the -5 or -10 insert for timing on the motor (brings it back to 30 degrees instead of 40)
