Myself
Eric Anderson
Rick Howart
Rob King
David Alford

Ruben Benitez is the Excomm Liaison for Electric On Road.

And..... for your knowledge.

The process is as follows...

1. Bids are solicited
2. Bids are accepted by a specific date
3. Bids are delivered to the appropriate committee for consideration
4. Committee's discuss the bids, and determine which bid is the best for the racers and ROAR, there are many criteria used to determine the winner. ( we take a vote )
(some of the criteria... in no specific order of importance and just off the top of my head)
a. Facilities
b. Location ( easy to get a flight ,cost of flight)
c. surrounding amenities
d. Location of previous event
e. History of previous events held at the same location
f. Completeness of Bid package
g. Opinions from racers that have raced at the location
h. etc...

5. The Electric Committee SUGGESTS to the EXCOMM which bids we feel are the winners.
6. The EXCOMM announce who will get the race...

Nova you taking a beating. Save your 35 bucks a year and move on. Buy an extra tank of gas with that money.

And blaming UPS is kinda weak... I'll let some one that works for them address it but if a shipment is important then you send it and track it 24/7...
but you did respond now didn't you...

and in your other post you give plenty of excuse not to show up, well maybe just maybe, your not alone. oh and btw, the race not being on the internet IS NOT A MAJOR PROBLEM and what exactly was the MAJOR PROBLEM last year, a little rough driving in the masters class that was addressed, a computer crash, that was fixxed, the ORIGINAL TRACK being shut down and a change of venue at the last minute to another local track so that the roar members that bought and paid for airline tickets didn't get screwed. was that the problem?

not sure what everyone is looking for in a race track or race program, but if you show up, shut up, smile, walk around and meet some new friends then maybe you will start to have a good time and find less to bitch about.

race on.

and for my "homies" I will start to take my own advice.

Ya might want to go back and read......

http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...ht=ROAR&page=3

I quote"
I planned on closing Peel-It down at the end of July, the only reason I was keeping it open till then was to honor my comittment to running the event there. When I informed the owner that the track would be shutting down, he was a bit upset as he trying to sell the building, which is hard with a lease getting terminated. He asked me to vacate sooner than later so he could fill the spot ASAP....so, I could of tried to move it to a parking lot, but we still have a massive problem with hotels......they are simply sold out entirely in the two towns (arlington and marysville) because of the Arlington Fly-In, which is the 3rd largest fly in in the nation."

guess i need to read the complete thread before posting. CO JONES stated it correctly.

and yes congradulations to all the racers and winners of this years nationals.

like i said before, if you didn't come to jonesboro because it is in BF egypt, well you really missed out, I think big city america can learn a thing or two from places like this. I was a little hesitant about coming, but glad i did. and if they have nationals here again in a few years, i will probably just come and watch and help out.

i had a great time, and met some great people.

oh and one more thing, OMAR's steak house, best damn steak I've had in years.

TEAM SHUMACHER rocks
