Today was AWESOME from start to fininsh. We ran 3 qualifiers and a main. Started at 1 and were finished by 5:30. The top 5 in stock sedan were really close. I myself cannot comment on the nats tires as I was on Sorex's all day. But I'm sure some of the guys will chime in. Several were running them. Just a side note, for those who have not had the pleasure of meeting Drew Ellis, make it a point to when you get a chance. He is a class act all around and FFFAAASSSSTTTT!!!! Had a little tough luck in the A though.

The track was great. It was a good day in all I ended up 3rd behind Quntion and EA won it. I ran the spec tires all day yesterday they were ok but about a second slower. I ended up running sorex's for the feature

Lets just say it was another great day of racing, on a great track, with a bunch of great guys. The track was awesome, traction everywhere. I did not run them myself, but lets just say that come nats time when the temps are higher, the sweeps will be, uuuummmmmmmmm, aaaaaaahhhhhhhh, well lets put it this way, lets hope 3 sets will last all weekend!!!!!!!!

Hey Drew. Mark Smith here. We use to run together at Farmington. Thinking about coming over and running Masters with a wornout Schu. Figured they could use another back marker. So whats the tire of choice going to be?

I once again am completely thrilled with how the event turned out.

I ran the Sweeps, Jacos, and Sorex. I just switched back and forth all weekend. The Sweeps are for sure about 3 tenths slower than a Sorex or Jaco. But I have seen no issues with the wear. In the "A" I was on Sweeps with three previous runs on them and as anyone that was track-side can confirm I managed to put in a hell of a battle with EA (who was on RP reruns I think). We swapped the lead a number of times and sat about a foot apart in nearly every corner. This run was killer, and the involvement of the crowd added to the intensity. In the end EA finished in front. Props to you EA! That one will go down in on my list of best battles ever. I am glad you didn't move over.

I think two drivers did manage to break a wheel or two. However, I firmly believe that even if we ran a race on steel wheels, somebody will figure out how to break em.

In the end economics played a major roll in the tire choice and saving nearly ten bucks a set will add up when all racers check in. And if they are a couple tenths slower for every one, who cares.
