$65.00 doesn't normally buy you a "premium" LiPo, it buys you a ticking time-bomb...

~$65 buys you an orion 3200 if you can find them at discount... other than this very product, then yes chances are something will be set on fire.

on another note, I bought some yeah racing 3200 for $35 and so far they've performed flawlessly, but I wouldn't charge them unattended...

You've heard the saying...you get what you pay for right? Do yourself a favor and go with MaxAmps. They have various size lipos to fit any application. I've been using them since I made the switch from Nimh's and I couldn't be happier! Jason and Austin have terrific customer service there as well!

He was referring to 5000 Mah LiPo's, I know plenty of great $65.00 LiPo's none of which are anywhere near 5000 Mah

Also you said you wouldn't leave them unattended which is a scary thought IMO

And Terry, I couldn't agree more, you do get what you pay for

always use a lipo cut off module while discharging and a lipo balancer while charging, read through instructions about lipo.

Orion lipo using the kokam cell, is the only one I heard of won't explode.

"You get what you pay for". Im not sure there is a more FALSE statement in RC. The whole industry is built on hype. Not necessarily related to lipo batteries but had to get that off my chest.

If mah's is all your are chasing and only have $65 then I would look for a used lipo pack like the Orion 4800, Core 5000, Trakpower 4800, Checkpoint 5400, etc.

If you think you have it figured out then why bother asking the question?

Get CORE5000 packs- they are very good for 10.5 and MOD racing. The Tracpower 4900 25C packs and SMC 28C 4000/5000 packs are really good for 10.5, but really shine in MOD- they provide more punch and power with MOD motors

Give a orion, it will explode There is no pack that wont blow up, as long as you charge them right, and treat them well you wont have problems

Support, testing and brand name reputition are what I am following, just like buying a LCD TV, a car, a computer.....all the same. But never because it is DIRT CHEAP....and yes, you got what you paid for, at least, that is very true in this planet EARTH.

If this is ONLY about 5000 mah....you have no choice, CORE 5000 mah LIPO only.

The Reedy lipos are nice, I have been running one the last few weeks and I am very impressed, and especially for the cost. I'm just waiting for more to be available to get another.
