Default New to carpet racing

I am looking at doing some carpet racing this winter and am in the market of buying a car. Our local club doesn't have that many restrictions from what I can make of it.. I was wondering does 4 wheel drive make the big of difference when racing on carpet? I was looking at CRC GenX10 or wondering if it would be better to get a Losi JRX-S 4 wheel drive car? I am not sure whether I can use foam if that would make a difference... What do you guys recommend?

You really should talk to the people at the track you want to race at. You have mentioned variables that would suggest 3 different class being either Rubber TC, Foam TC, or Pan Car. The suggestions for each class would be different.

What up Lucias, There could possibly be a 10th scale pan car class this winter if enough people show intrest. But for now I would stick with a 10th scale TC. Hope to see you at the on road track this winter.

Do you currently race now and if so how are your skills?

What do you know about the place you will be racing at? What classes are the most popular? You'd hate to get a new vehicle and then find out the class isn't too popular and you end up not being able to race every time you head to the track.
