Interview with Keven Hebert

Chances are you don't know Keven but this young man is very fast... Fast enough to finish 3rd A main in Modified Touring at the Snowbirds National.

He is a incredable racer, and guy. He races at our track (FastCats), and is pretty humbled. In many ways hes alot like Paul Lemieux and thats great for the hobby.

A local TV channel interviewed Keven when he ran at our local track a couple of months ago. Might have been early last month actually.

Fast forward to about the 1 minute mark for the brief interview with Keven or just watch the whole thing. It's not much more than a minute long anyway.

Here is a picture from 2003 at the Take off Winter Touring car Championships. Paulie and Keven are in the center row to the right. Keven is 1 talented racer. REALLY nice and level headed.

The interview with Keven is popular!!! It's cool !

Big daddy, it's a cool picture. There is Keven's dad at the far right and few other guys I know on the picture...

I met Keven for the first time at this year's Novak race (2008). My first exposure was when I was practicing with my 4 cell Trans Am on the New Year's Day race. I saw an all white foam TC5 just fly past me on the in-field. My first thought was 'Wow, that guy is so fast and controlled.' I pulled over a little bit and watched him complete a lap. My first thought was, that guy is incredible. His car control was just phenomenal and his chassis was so well- balanced.

I talked to him later and found out that he ran for AE and was from Quebec. But, as well, a super nice guy.

As a fourteen year old racer,
these are the kinds of people i look up to.
Hopefully one day i can strive to be a regular "A-main-attendee" at places other than my local track.

Also, good job to him based off the fact that he is going international (more or less intercontinental) to participate in the worlds.

Good luck to him and i hope he does well!!!

Khal - It was nice meeting you at novak !!! hope to see you again next year.

Kyle - Thank you for the comment. One thing I can tell you is never get discouraged. Ask as many question as you can, practice and it will pay off !!
