Default LRP Quantum Competition 2

I was just browsing various R/C websites and I came across a link on Tower Hobbies to the LRP Quantum Competition 2 ESC. It is supposed to be released later this month. Does anyone have any information on it?

From the HPI Japan website it translate to:

"That クァンタムコンペティション accomplishes further evolution, appearance! The completely new technology where reactive フレケンシ?[ control and 100% complete waterproofing etc. at one time it is not is introduced, the preponderant advantage is brought. "

It may have the new Reactive Traction Control

That looks pretty cool. I hope it's not more expensive than the current Quantum Competetion esc's though. Those are already one of the most expensive high end speedo availaible. I wonder if some of the problems of smoking will be eliminated ?

first of all it's supposed to be water proof, since it's water proof they must of worked on the case so hopefully now you won't have to tape the case together so it doesn't fall apart. It's also supposed to have some sort of variable frequency. I don't have the specs in front of me but it isn't just a rebadged quantum

I pre-ordered one of the new Quantum 2 ESC's and will be using it on my B4, so i'll have it as soon as it's released to the public and i'll let everyone know how it is.

I own two quantum competitions and have been very pleased with them, so if this new ESC is half as good as the original, I will be very happy.

I just found some more information and pics of it...

Quote:
The new Competition should be 100% waterproof and shockproof. The clock frequency is variable and results in, according to LRP, in connection with the new Dems-2 software more pressure. 3 different program profiles are directly selectable over Setup of buttons at the automatic controller.

Haaaa! I've got a friend who was showing his nephew how fast his truck was on the deck of the sail boat he lives on. Had to scuba dive 60' to retrive it. He said it had a "push" on the deck surface..... I think he may need that waterproof feature more than most of us. It was an Associated RTR. Would you believe it still ran after being in salt water! Only thing that died was the Hitec Servo.....which may have been dead BEFORE the tip off the deep end.
