servos , easy to find, speedo pretty easy to find, receiver i wrap in a balloon and then put in a watertight case like traxxas has. or use all traxxas electrics. most brushed motors will work well Under water. Check the crawler threads. mostly all h2o proof stuff their. I have driven a traxxas slash on the bottom of a lake before lol.no joke not sure about brushless stuff.

For my brushed motor, I am getting myself some 1/8" x 3/8" ceramic/stainless steel bearings to swap out the original steel bearings. It will be my first time trying out ceramic/stainless steel bearings but my understanding is that they are corrosion resistant. They do cost significantly more than regular steel bearings.

Very common to race in the rain in the UK. I tend to go home personally so haven't gone to as much effort as some I have seen in the past. Maybe there are some tutorials on Youtube.
  1. "Corrosion X" is a fantastic product. Very effective as a hydrophobic coating. Strip your non-waterproof electronics down to the circuit boards, soak it well in Corrosion X and leave to drip dry before re-assembling. Seems to last quite a while before re-application is needed
  2. Blu-tac/sticky tac works well to seal sensor ports etc so that water doesn't have an easy way in.
  3. I've also seen people build plastic enclosures to put their electronics in so that water doesn't have a chance of getting near to them. Can cause issues with overheating though.
