Wow, that is one amazing machine!
I never knew the TL-01 had so much potential.
But I'm curious about this question as well: can a well tuned/modded/hacked TL-01 compete with the likes of TC3s, XXX's, Pro3's, or TAO4s?

TLO1 update
Hello All:
I managed to run the TL01 yesterday. The stuff has the following now:
TA03 Oil filled shocks
Red Spring front
Yellow springs rear
Camber / toe in toe out adjustment
Rear universals
Manta ray ball diff on the rear
Front universals
Hot laps slick tires
Carbon shaft
Carbon gear shafts
Speed tuned gears
Balls bearings throughout
LRP ESC, with capacitors
Paradox stock motor
Front sway bars, stiff
Rear sway bars medium
Paradox 27 turn 24 deg. stock motor with diodes
19 pinion
This seems to be all that I can put in the car.
There are two points that I noticed on the car though:
1. The rear sway bar seems to be hitting the housing for the rear propeller shaft.
2. The car spins out 180 deg. on after it the tops the acceleration.
This happens after I release the throttle from full throttle position to neutral.
Two queries:
1. Is there anyway I can stop the rear sway bars from hitting the propeller shaft cover?
2. Why is it that I am spinning on release of the throttle?
My set-up is pretty low aready... just 5-7 mm clearance from the ground.
To test the set up, I ran it on asphalt tracks, but I normally run the car in carpet tracks.
Also, anything more I can add to the car aside from a better driver?
I want to keep on running stock so an upgrade on the motor is not a priority at the moment.
BTW, the F150 body sucks...it does not have the same handling as other touring car bodies....I thought I would let you know.
Hope to hear from all of you soon.
Cheers,
TF

TF;
Make sure you don't have "Drag" Brake dialed into your ESC or Transmitter. This will cause the Car to spin on release of the trigger.
Make sure there is plenty of "Droop" in the Rear. At 5mm ride height, you should have a minimum of 5-6mm rear droop.
I also recommend removing the Sway Bars. Unless your running on a super high grip Track and using Foam Tires, they probably are hurting you. (someone else might dissagree)
Ours has been dialed and is giving the TC3's some competition at our local tracks in the Sportsman Stock classes.
Good luck and have fun.

Hey Pops:
Thanks for the reply....
Maybe a dumb question, but what do you mean by
"Ours has been dialed and is giving the TC3's some competition at our local tracks in the Sportsman Stock classes."
Also, can you share your set up? I run on both carpet and asphalt tracks.
Many thanks,
TF

1) try with equal springs all 4 corners, or softer at back
2) use softer oil at the rears, usually 60/40wt for F/R is good start
3) loosen your rear balldiff or put it into the front
4) lose the sway bars, until you really need them
5) try the toe-in rear blocks...
