Lock the front diff using a locker from the cc01 kit or diff putty. Should tame the turn in steering. Anti-roll bars if allowed. Fine tune the droop to about 1-2mm uptravel.

Roll bars also not allowed but I think droop adjustment is, thanks for the tip.

Btw, have you noticed similarities of MF01 to TL01? It could be nice TL02, solving some issues, only if it had standart dimensions and motor placement

I bought 3 of the LA kits new about 5 years back, and a friend bought the last 2 , all from the one shop (old stock)
I also had TL baja's . I even once raced the baja about 3 years back, indoor offroad against the latest 4wd buggies . I was surprised it survived the jumps , failing esc knocked me out for the night.
Me & my freind used to cut the TL's down to mini size, for a 4wd mini .
Then we put the baja arms, foam tyres & 10T brushless on those TL minis & would hoon around the local RC track . The baja arms stopped them flipping over in turns .
Ah , the memories. Was a great era having a dedicated outdoor RC track just 10minutes from my house .I was down there every weekend . A sad day when the council bulldozed the track for a public swimming pool.

Does anyone know of other drive cups that fit in the bearing? i would rather not 3D print a spline.. It would still be weak i suspect, even if i get it right.
Does the 3Racing Aluminium Ball Diff. System Ver. 2 For M03M fit for instance? https://www.ebay.com/itm/3Racing-Aluminium-Ball-Diff-System-Ver-2-For-M03M-1-10-RC-Car-M03M-01-V2-LB/141189310509?epid=1718814806&hash=item20df89e82d:g :juEAAOxy63FS-KIL
I have the manta ray diff but it does not fit...

Necro time!
I am working on mods that let you get a bit more performance out of the TL-01 and related models. One of those mods is a suspension set that lets you alter the geometry of the suspension.
You can alter the roll center and you can get more progressively stronger spring force through improved geometry. Explanation on that and why progressive springs is not really a thing below. Based upon feedback i got i also made a C-arm with 6 degrees of caster.
Let me know what you think and if you are interested. in any of these parts.

I am also making a super speed tuned gear set. With lower FDR than Tamiyas own speed tuned gearset. Should be compatible with any kits that is compatible with TL-01 speed tuned gearset from Tamiya.
Probably quite nice for modern brushless motors

The super speed gear set is now for sale. It fit really good and i am quite happy with the result. More pictures here:

Possible gear ratios for TL-01:
What kind of motor would you ever run 3.75 with?

The speed tuned gear set also fits in the MF-01x. But i can not confirm if the super speed tuned gear set fits without measurements of outer diameters or at minimum a picture.

I’m interested to know what motors you’ve tested with the Super Speed Tuned gears. We have a tub chassis series here in Canada and we’re using brushless 21.5T motors, USGT tires and body on black carpet. The chassis required are tub chassis only and they’re allowing the TL01.
Do you think these gears will hold up?

I do not have really need the product. haha. there is no 21.5T class here and it was more of a "because i can"
Only class here is 13.5T blinky. Not sure what gearing they use.
Give me your address on PM and i send you my prototype gears. They are not perfect, i chanced the model after, but it should last long enough for you to figure things out or give relevant feedback if needed.

Thank you for the offer. I’ll PM you my address and will test out your gears and send you results and pics to show how they held up.

My TL01 still running... but in the Tamiya Mini class...
2nd was M05L and 3rd was M06L. Mine was TL01 short.

Is the TL01 running RWD or AWD?
