Check what your LHS has parts for and also what the other guys in your area race so they can help you with setups etc..

the LHS has Associated parts and guys run the TC line and X-ray..and Losi..I was out there watching them a while back..and just wanted to give it a shot..so parts and stuff like that no problem...So now I am needing advice on a good starting point..and i was wanting to know if the TC4 would be a good starter car..the reason I say TC4 is that is I can find them for an ok price...and x-ray is way to expensive and not a big fan of Losi..

If your racing in a place where theres lots of debris get the TC4, if its a full on clear race track, get the TC5. This is only my opinion so you go for what you like. I would reckomend starting in a 540/stock class until you adjust to onroad racing then move up slowly. Listen to your LHS advice as to what ESC, tyres, body etc.. to get.
