Hi Guys,

Well the trailer is rolling on its way, The crew loaded it up last night and it started the journey to the Strip. We leave on Saturday to start getting things ready and the extra day allows Jamie to hit his lucky 777 slot machine.

RICK: Our first step in the tech inspection process will be temp and voltage. If a driver does not pass these 2 test, they will have to step out of line and correct it. they will be allowed to tech again but at the end of the line for the current race. If a driver does not pass through tech in time for his race, he will start late. It is the drivers responsibility to be prepared and bring their car to tech in a legal capacity to pass and in plenty of time.

LIPO USERS: You have extra steps you need to pass and you need to be prepared to come to tech with plenty of time to ensure you pass all inspection steps.

B-Man777- yes entries are down for this years event and there is do doubt it has to do with the economy, Boomer and I have heard it first hand from many racers that it is tight for them and their family. Also some of the factories have cut down their travel teams quite a bit. Each driver was running 2 or 3 classes so looking at last years entries and seeing this years, that counts for a lot of the entires we are down. but no matter this will only allow us to give everyone more time off at night to enjoy Vegas! Hopefully some of you guys will not enjoy it to much.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next week.
Thanks
Scotty

I'd like to suggest that if a guy comes to tech with an over voltage battery (and OK temp) that the battery temp be checked again after the voltage is brought back within the limit.

I am a........ small man in some ways.

All I can think about is if there are a couple less people..... I'm that much closer to the A-main.

I already feel bad for the other pro10 drivers that are going to have to drive with me. "sorry Dumas, I didn't mean to take you out on the sweeper"

Good one Bear! I am sure Dumas appreciates the apology this far in advance.

Rick: if a driver comes to tech and fails either the temp or voltage, they will have to begin the whole tech procedure again starting at step one! So the guys who try to push this will find themselves not making it through tech in time for their race.

Later,
Scotty

Apparently the economy is affecting foam racers more than rubber! :-D

I kid, I kid. No butts were hurt in the creation of this post.

Not too long ago, a couple of us visited a small track 3 hours away in Vermont. Mostly oval drivers with a quick laydown infield for tc. Two different types of carpet with the infield being a felt like material. rctoybox.com

I talked some trash before going up there....... and got my hairy ass handed to me. Bad. Embarasingly so.

So learning from my karmic beat down, I'm not going to talk trash. I hope everyone enjoys a premiere event for our sport, and has clean runs with fast lines.
