After I saw Ryan almost lose a finger, I really started questioning why I was charging my LiPo in a bag while his NiMH were sitting on a shelf at eye-level.

Well according to most of the guys running round cells the Lipos pretty much blow up every time you charge them...

So far I have only burned down two crack houses with my LIPOs I figure I am doing my community a favor when I charge my LIPOs.

See you all in a few weeks, gonna be a blast!

drifter

i have made the mistake of charging them on the nimh setting with my ice. sat for like 15 min. before i caught the mistake. no swelling, no fire, no sparks, no shrapnel flinging across the room. just killed the pack. fairly uneventfull way to kill a lipo.

Whats up everyone, I hope your summer has been going well. As for us, things are looking excellent as we hit the final stages before the big show. All of us have been busy getting things lined up, painted, ordered and prepared for the trip to the STRIP!

I went to Vegas last week to get the final floor plan approved and things are going to rock. A bit of cool info that I have not posted yet, within the hotel there is a great selection of fast food during the event. Only a short walk to the other side of the casino you will find the Mardi Gras food court that has: A&W, KFC, PIZZA HUT XPRESS, QUIZNOS PLUS MORE. so there will be some great options for food for everyone during the event when you get hungry, Plus we cannot forget the all important WORLD FAMOUS 99 CENT 1/2LB HOTDOG right across the street at SLOTS OF FUN.

We are all excited to have the IIC back on the Strip and for those that are returning for another IIC, you can expect the same excitement and well run event you have come to know. For those of you that it is your first event, We hope you will walk away after the event feeling that this is the way events are meant to be run.

We do still have openings in this years event, so if you or somebody you know is wanting to join us for this years event, please have him email me at [email protected] or [email protected] and we will help them.

Been talking to Gina our trophy girl and she is all set to join us again this year and things are going to be stepped up a notch this year. That is all I got to say about that. WERE IN VEGAS BABY!

I will have info regarding the availability of the Lilac tires tomorrow. World GT class is going to be very exciting. We have some big names choosing to run this class and it will no doubt be one of the most exciting classes of the IIC.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know.
Thanks,
Scotty

The lilac fronts are currently available, but not the rears. We are going to see how the race goes before we release them. However, if anyone wants to get some sets, just PM me and we will sell them to you or put you in touch with any interested dealers.

I had a friend charge his Lipo on NIMH setting on the ICE charger also, the voltage was 9.6 when he saw the pack swell up, but no fire or exploding cells!
This is a testament to the safety of LIPO's.

Nitro King - the spec tires are available to everyone who wants to practice on them before the race, but you'll be getting World GT tires at the race, so no worries about not being able to get tires.

Hanulec - I 'believe' compound is paragon.... could be wrong. But either way, there will be plenty there (they run a very nicely stocked shop). But I can tell you from experience that they nab my traction compound every time! Maybe this year I'll try burying some in a jar of peanut butter.....
