All rubber tire classes can use any of the Roar approved bodies for this year.

For FOAM TIRE classes. We will be using the New Global Body Spec.

Right now there will be 2 bodies that will be allowed to race,
they are the Parma Mohawk 2 # 10222
and the Profoform R 9F # 1497-00

Both of these bodies will have a GBS Mark molded into the bodies to designate them as GBS. We will not be allowing any ultra light weight bodies at this years IIC.

Body rules have already been posted.

Agreed...But, the words "Right now..." potentially made bodies an open issue.

And from the IIC website...
"Bodies: Light weight bodies will not be permitted in any class, more info regarding this will be posted shortly." No legal bodies mentioned.

Sorry...I read far too many contracts these days...

then you should see that as long as the bodies meet the GBS then they should be legal. it does not say anything about what roar grandfathered last week

I just switched my order to the Mohawk 2. Since everyone is saying the R9 is like the DNA. I talked to Larry and he was telling me the DNA did not work well with their foam setup which I ran last year with a Alfa and it was great. So I really don't want to have to search for setup with a new body when the Mohawk and Alfa are similar. I will stick with something that works for me. :)

I shall be the only one on a DNA again? Interesting...

Roar Approved Bodies

"All rubber tire classes can use any of the Roar approved bodies for this year."
- posted Vegas rules

" as long as the bodies meet the GBS then they should be legal. it does not say anything about what roar grandfathered last week" -Comment on this thread

"grandfathered" or not GBS or not the bodies that were recently made legal through 12/31/2008 by ROAR, fit the definition "ROAR approved bodies for this year" Which I think was Bill's point

Right Scotty/Boomer?

Greetings. Here is a portion of information that will be posted on the website in the coming days but I thought I would post it here also.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rubber Tire Touring: We will be allowing all ROAR Approved bodies for the this years event. Roar has updated body list and the current list is in affect for the entire 2008 season.

Foam Tire Touring: We will be following the new Global Body Spec rules that have been established. 2 bodies will be allowed for the event. The Parma Mohawk 2 (# 10222) and the Protoform R9F (# 1497-00). Both these bodies will have markings that designate them as GBS bodies.

I have also made a decision that we will not be allowing Ultra Light bodies. We have all seen what these bodies have done to close side by side racing and I don’t think there is anyone that can say it has improved racing. So we will not be allowing these. All bodies running in the Foam classes will have to have the GBS marking which is molded into the bodies.

1/12th Divisions: will also be using Roar Approved bodies

World GT: We will be allowing the bodies listed on the rules page.

Tires for World GT will be Jaco Lilac front and rear
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope that answers the questions.

Time for bed. Another 12 hour day tomorrow.:weird:

Any questions or concerns pm me here or Email me at [email protected]

Thanks
Boomer
