So am I correct in reading that if I enter Amateur Rubber, 10.5 foam, I wouldn't be able to enter Word GT (since it was listed as a sedan class)???

Well in the amateur class no one should have one.. If your not sponsored its hard to get your hands on that stuff I'd think...

I would love to hear all the top level decision making that still needs to go on about the IIC classes, rules and handouts. Got to be better than Judge Judy...

Scotty can do it!

Hello everyone,

I will try and answer the questions you guys are wondering about.

AMATEUR- Class is designed for the casual racer, regular guy who just loves this hobby, not professional, not semi pro, not 50% deal with whomever. Somebody posted a page or so ago, that it would not be in the spirit of this class, That is exactly what our goal is, A fun class where everyone understands what it is designed for, The spirit of racing. So if you have a "sponsorship" of any kind from any industry company, or you have been sponsored in the past, we invite you to run 13.5, the Amateur class is not for you.
Sure are there going to be rumors of guys that are supported by somebody or getting special help, sure their will be, but like EA said, he will give me a list as well as the rest of the industry and we will know who is on a supported team.
So my hope is that everyone that enters this class will do it in the spirit of it and it should make for one of the best classes at the IIC.

Handout Brushless- As we have always done with the IIC, we try and make the playing field as level as possible and we would like to be able to offer a handout motor for the event. We are still working with mnfg to see if we can offer this option.

MAD916- You are correct. 2 sedan classes maximum. and World GT is a sedan class.

MAXEPOWER- Only handout tire class is the Rubber tire classes. Foam classes are bring your own. AMPDRAW hobby will be onsite again and they had great deals from Jaco and Parma on tires.

LIPO BATTERIES- We will be allowing Lipo batteries to be run at the IIC, you will need to make the same weight that a 6 cell car will be at. More exact info to come. But not to worry Lipo guys, you are in.

As for all the rules of the classes ect, that will come a bit later down the road after we get all the registration done.

Hope this answers most of your questions, please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Scotty

Wanted to post the hotel info again, Make sure you book early, last year we had guys scrambling to get rooms at the last minute.

Hotel reservations: All IIC participants must stay at the Riviera hotel to be able to race in the IIC, with the exception of Las Vegas Residents. You can call 800-634-6753 or 702-794-9412 and use code IIC " International Indoor Championships" when you call.
Big challenge for us to move to the strip was getting hotel room prices that were not 150 dollars a night. We are happy to say we worked an OUTSTANDING! deal on rooms. Room rates are $85 during the week and $99 on Fri,Sat,Sun. Make sure you mention the code IIC when you book. Again all racers must use IIC code when booking for the event.

Thanks again,
Scotty

I'd go to say Syndrome is probably on a similar page.
Myself included I'll probably 'see' a little bit but I'll be there to thoroughly enjoy my 1st big racing experience.
