I think I had the Halloween Classic rules mixed up with the Champs...They are using BSR and Jaco tires....CRC makes some good 1-12th scale tires ...didn't know they did 1-10th too............

And you will have to buy your tires for the race at the race ? i.e. no running tires purchased ahead of time ???

Just some updates on the control tire for Cleveland….

We are happy to offer a good tire for the new World GT (WGT) class for the U.S. Indoor Champs. The CRC WGT tires are also legal at all the races in the Northeast Grand Slam Series.

It has been mentioned that the CRC Tire is “Lilac”. This is not entirely true. Much like other color designations like purple, pink, grey, white, etc., lilac is a color used by manufactures to designate a certain grade rubber and hardness. CRC does not use the lilac designation and therefore the WGT tire from CRC is not a “lilac”.

However, through an agreement with the other manufactures, the hardness and type of rubber used for all of the WGT control tires will be held to a consistent standard.

The CRC World GT Control tire will be in stock and available to order on our site October 14th. Good luck to all those attending the U.S. Indoor Champs.

I suppose if it's the same for everybody they could just as well be made out cinder blocks and scotch tape. ...lol..

I say if they're just for this race, give 'em a clever name. Be much more fun to say that you raced on "gummi-bears" as opposed to something mundane like "blues".

Feel free to bogart any of the following names.

"Cleve-speeds"
"Franks tanks"
"Purple Pirates"
"Turkey trotters"
"Dixie slicks"
"Rim jobs"
"Generators" (I kinda actually like that idea)

Larry...

38 Shore R4 is the target rubber for WGT Control tires.

Stormer.... well... since we are racing on carpet... instead of Hoosiers we could call'em Hoovers. World GT Hoovers?

Turkey Trotters? If we call them Turkey Trotters maybe we can put gravy on them instead of Paragon. :-)
