Default Sorex premounts?

I can't seem to find the premounts at my local hobby shop so before buying online.

What type of inserts are in the speed mind package,Thin with air gap and is the insert firm or medium? Thanks in advance.

This is going to be run in asphalt so if anyone has feed back it is appreciated.

Francis, i got my sorex premounts from Speedtechrc.com. I purchased two new sets with one set already used from practice. it has decent air gap and its a soft to soft/medium insert. I believe they are red inserts from speedmind. a couple more runs on my practice set and they'll be done so i'll be able to open them up and see what the inserts are.

unfortunately i wont be at BCR this sat. maybe the weekend after.

I use the Sorex/Speedmind Premounts. Very good tire I think. 36R is the best for any weather asphalt. Even cold temps. However on extremely hot days you should use the 40R premounts. I think they are well balance combo for most track conditions. You can buy them online from many shops; Stormer, SpeedtechRC, Nexus, AmpDraw, and maybe a few others. Its my tire of choice when running premounts.

From out here on the west coast, the feedback we've gotten has been very good on the 32 and 36 premounts depending on the surface temperature and to some degree the debris and how smooth it is. I've heard of guys using 28s with reasonable wear on cold days, and as high as 40s in the summer heat on a prepared track.

As others have mentioned the Speedmind pre-mounts seem to be the way to go, we go through a lot of them and have not had any complaints about durability or quality.

Keep 'em in stock, I'll be buying 36R's from ampdraw all summer if they work out as well as people say. You've got the best prices in town. :-)

I've ran sorex mostly but I've never ran the Speedmind pre-mounts so hopefully its close to the Sorex, yokomo thin/firm insert that I normally run..

I checked there, but didn't see them online. Aren't they the importer? Or were at one time?
