Default Why so many X-ray cars for sale?

Is there some hot new TC out that everyone is selling there T2 007s and 008s to get? Or is it just that it's time for offroad?

XRay is arguably the most popular brand in on-road right now. It stands to reason that the most popular brand would also have the most churn as racers come and go. I doubt they're all defecting to off-road, but that no doubt has some allure since you can get by without paying as much attention to your car. People are lazy.

They might be selling their spare or backup car and saving for the 2009 model, might be designed for lipo. And some TC guys just want a new car. Or some TCs are not designed for their style of driving and hate to spend time fine tuning. Like syndr0me said, "Lazy".

It may be that you have noticed a bunch of them. Have you also noticed how many TC5's and Losi Jrxs and Type R's are for sale? It is end of the carpet season. Most guys selling them I know are going to race gas.

My t1 is the last touring car I'm going to buy. It is good enough for club racing.

LOL, have you been reading these boards?

Nobody on these forums will ever be able to agree on any "one" car that is the best. Most will agree that just about any car made within the last 3 years or so is good enough for club racing, though each car will have its own unique set of pro's/con's.

You likely would not get just one car there either. I'll bet the "best" foam car is not the "best" rubber car if you look purely at statistics.

On the topic on Xray turnover, I've seen the same thing. I bought 2, one to run and one for parts. I got a good entire car for the cost of 4 sets of CVD's and one diff if I was to buy those parts new. Alot of it is the true "Rayheads" will buy the new chassis every year, thus offloading last years...amongst other things mentioned.
