Also will need to get the gearing right again. 1 to 2 tooth changes are the world in relationship to running well and poor. Also what is the cars ratio. And as well. What is the size spur as well as the pinion when it is the best?
Turbo is 2 on the RB-s setting 3 is off, 1 is single turbo, 2 is twin turbo.

Thanks I'll give the suggestions a try

Ciao to all,
next month will begin the Italian championship, on stock class we must run 10.5 motor and we can choose from Novak SS10.5Pro and Speed Passion
V3.0. According your experience which is the best motor with rb-s?

Your kind help needed

Ciao

What would be good starting point to setup RB-S for 17.5T TC?
How this esc compares with Tekin RS or LRP SPX?

Well in 10.5 i think the novak will be slightly faster naturally and easy to put it in and gear right but the speed passion will have better brakes and may recquire a little motor timing to get speed but will have more bottom end less midddle spool and more flat acceleration to top speed. can't tell you which is better in 10.5 as there is plenty of power. but sometimes some drivers prefer the feel of one motor better.
Hope this helps!!

Well guys at the moment i am finding the b software great but i am now testing a prototype which is better giving more driveability before turbo it seems as though it spools consistently and not one solid bang of power. so be patient we are nearly there. And motor temps are down with more top end so looking good.

On the Rbs speed controller I believe you can run 1c lipo, but does it have a lipo cut off built in for 3v or does the cut off just need to be disabled, if not is there any plans to release an update with a 3v option?

Just shake down test on RB50 with Novak 8.5, the turbo is definitely steep ramp up motor rpm nearby 100% Full Throttle. It nice when it kicks in..

would be great if the new prototype software give extra room for user to fiddle with turbo feature, so that turbo are adjustable both Timing (~ can adjust as low as 40% throttle) and Ramp shape (linear, curved, etc),

thinking this feature resemble as miniature (in function) of I-VTEC or VVTiL features on 1:1 scale gas cars.. where it kicks in from around 3500 rpm (up to ~ 9500 redline)..

Have just fried one sweet feeling RB50. And that with a Novak 380 10,5T motor in a 1:18 Shark. Without fan, but it was never in the near of feeling hot. The car slowed down and started to smoke. A pretty expensive parfume...

Ive sent it in to Team Wave for analyse. I hope they can give me an answer for what happened. I really like it. Good feeling and with a good speed. Im now running the original Mongoose esc again and its not on the same planet...

BTW, hello all.....

May be a dumb question, but would it be possible make a program so that it engages the turbo on a certain RPM instead of tying it to the throttle position? Would that solve the high turn motor problem where there is almost always full throttle?
