need a booster for the receiver? the ESC works like a booster?
I don't believe the ESC works like a booster. It will function but it is recommended that you use a 6V receiver battery.

Good question. Only time will tell. Not many people have been able to get their hands on a Black Diamond. The RB-s is fast, real fast. Its is also about 1/3rd the cost of the the Black Diamond.
In my opinion Team Wave and Advanced Electronics are the only 2 companies to have worked out how too send this much power to your motors. Like has been said before these ESC's do more than just add timing, They give more power everywhere. This is why the Black Diamond cleaned up at IIC. It had more punch out of the corners as well as great top speed. Just like my Team Wave RB50. The RB-S takes it to another level.

Is anyone running an RB50 in their 12th scale - if so how did you get it to fit under the shell - did you take the fan off?

Can someone post a complete setup for 17.5 touring rubber tires/indoor/carpet and 13.5 touring rubber/indoor/carpet running a RB-50.
What does the time shift function do? I tried turbo on, time shift 5, drive profile 9. Does this not generate the most power? I started out at 4.8 fdr at 110f and ended up at 4.10 fdr and was only at 134f. My 416X was very smooth with the power and TQ'ed and won the stock class but my car did not feal like it had it had alot of punch, I was kind of expecting a little more. I will go up on the gearing but the track is only 80 feet x 36 feet.
Any advice would be greatly apreciated.

drive profiles is simply changing the powerband of throttle curve, it will NOT make a difference to speed, just a preference thing. Its just like th exponential feature on your radio!

Try timeshift 2. Will give much more punch. Top Speed will be fine if you have turbo on. Everyone I know running a RB30/50 likes lower timeshift. Check your motor temp and if it comes off below 160F gear up a bit.

Hi all

I have been testing the RB12 Prototype for Much More Racing UK at the moment not a lot to feed back as i ad a ill handling car last weekend.

but have found the new unit is very smooth on the throttle, and fits easily under the shell.

With modified has a lot of powere to offer.

I am using 1 cell lipo as soon as have done more running will post details

Have looked at this and to get it to fit it will be best to trim back the outer wings of the heatsink and that should give enough space to fit under the shell
