Mine arrived to the UK after about a week and a half

Managed to give it the first run today. Using the RB50, with a Linear 10.5.

Started out with the stock settings, and the motor geared one tooth down on what I had been with my TC spec, just to be a bit conservative and protect the investment

Anyway, to cut a long story short.. ended up on Time shift 4, Drive profile 8, and turbo On... and with gearing 2 teeth (!!) higher than with my TC spec, and still the motor only came off at ~75C (no fan on it either).
Car was a monster down the straights and punching very well out of the corners... so very happy bunny. Don't think I'll be outmotored this year

Having played with the settings, I think I'll be leaving the time shift and turbo settings, and just tuning it to feel on the drive profile. It felt too punchy on the tight local track on 9, and a little too soft on 7. I can see on bigger tracks 9 being fine, although may start off lower profiles if the grips low... very useful tuning feature

Cheers
Ed

I got the RB 30 this weekend!! Well worth the wait for sure!!I am running it in a 2wd buggy with a 17.5 in stock class. Tested it today, and so far dollar for dollar this thing is the shit!!!The turbo coupled with some moderate time shift (setting 2-3) makes this thing move out!! I was testing on a short outdoor track so I left the gearing on my novak 17.5 right where it was at running a lrp sphere. with no turbo or time shift it was no faster than with the sphere and temps were LOWER than with the sphere!! so after adding the turbo and time shift it was a rocket!! I expected to have the motor temps a little high when I pulled it, but to my surprise it was only 105*F after more than 10 minutes of running!!!So I threw more gear at it and went up 3 teeth on the pinion. I never thought i would say that a 17.5 was TOO MUCH motor for any off road track, but it was!!! Even after going up 3 teeth over what I usually run on that track the motor was 132*F after 10 minutes of running, and it was a complete rocket ship down the straights the whole run!!

I have found my new favorite speed controlI will be outfitting the other 4 off road cars I run with team wave speed controls!! so if anybody needs a cheap speedo I will have 4 of them listed in the swap and sell area some time after may 16!!

Do these RB30 or RB50 have a hand held programmer to set up the ESC?
