Hey guys I didnt see a lot post about using the 30 in a 1/12th scale? Anyone tried them ? Looking at the 30 with a 13.5 for 1/12th.. One last question I take it the only place to get them is direct/ No one in the states have them..

I can show you guys that Team Wave did not go to Speed Passion. If they did we would see them priced much higher then what they are. Here is a picture of my 1.5T (Not to disrespect Team Wave, but to show these SP guys they don't know much):

Do you guys think SP made my motor as well, keep thinking.

this is the only confirm i needed, roar approved, and its a speed passion motor,

EDIT:
speed pasion is just a feigao motor anyway, and thats what you have. just speed passion requested the sp and 17.5 markings and got it roar approved, and it is fine if feigao just makes them all that way and we can continue to run them even if they are labeled teamwave

that is one ugly motor!

Let me get a run on mine before I dissect it...but judging on how our other Wave drivers car looks on the track using wave 8.5...these motors are dope!

the reason that its kinda ugly is that it has a fiber wrap around the rotor to keep it together at high rpms.

I've seen too many shattered magnets since my first BL system back in 1994.

I have a RB50 and a V2 discharger on the way, I can't wait to try them both out with my mod car

Got the RB50 fitted today. Footprint is a tad smaller than the Sphere comp. I have also done abit of programing changes and one thing I have noticed is the throttle is alot smoother and response well even with smaller inputs when selecting a less aggressive drive profile compared to my sphere comp during bench testing.

I will be running it tomorrow on 10.5, so I should have a better idea how it performs race pace.

Wow! That heatsink looks pretty darn close (if not identical) to Tamiya blue...

Had my first outing yesterday with the RB-50 and it performed well on 10.5. I need a few more meets to explore its full potential

you'll find that playing around with the "drive profile" will net you the best gains in performance (from a throttle curve standpoint). Right now your car probably feels extremely easy to drive around low-throttle inputs, super smooth power-band. If you bump it up to 4, (which I currently use) which is one less than default, the car remains very drivable but your exit speed will increase...something to play around with for sure!

Combining the drive profile with time shift is what makes this esc so diverse, play around with those two settings and you're sure to come up with a great end result!

Have fun and let me know if you have any questions!

Hi Danjoy,
Have you tried the RB50 or are you planned to run with a 4.0t or 3.5t motor.
If so, let us know your findings.
