Default Challenge for all RCTech guys and gals

Some of you may have seen the posts for our Beat the Heat Race coming up on August 2-3. I just wanted you gusy to know that one of our local fast guys that won the Mod Sedan class in BTH Race last year also won the GT1 class here in Memphis at the TCS race this year, along with the mod points championship in 2002. It's been overheard that he doesn't really think anyone can come to his home track and whip him on asphalt. I told him there was some really fast guys from Autin TX and also from IN, but he didn't care. I told him Pimpedaccord is supposed to come and he believes he can't be beaten in stock. May be true- not sure. A lot of this info is second hand.

Well I'm not trying to start any wars or anything, but some of us Memphis guys are tired of seeing thsi guy win. Will somebody please step up to the plate?

note- if you know the guy, please don't let the cat out of the bag. This is all for fun.

Pimpedaccord races with us in Columbus and Cincy. Not sure how he is on rubber tires, but is petty good on foams. I will talk with Mo and Pulfer and see if they cannot come to your race. I am waiting for carpet season. You coming up for some carpet racing with us? Ultra is shutting down the entire month August to lay new carpet and design a new barrier system.

Take care bud,
Rob Love

Yea, I think Brad is swearing off outdoor racing for the season and getting back to work on carpet foams at Scotty's.

I don't much blame him, I prefer electric racing indoors by a lot. Leave outdoors for the nitro guys.

FUTUREAL,

I am hearing Scotty is going to foam tire racing this season. Is this true? Rumor has it he will be getting the Octoberfast race and of course the Novak Race. Octoberfast is "always" on foams, but I hear the Novak race will be also...... I sure hope so. Will bring a lot of us Ohio boys that way

August 2-3: Hmmmm, if the Columbus guys show up, Pulfer, Mo, Junior, PimpedAccord(Switzer), and myself, that moves him all the way down to 6th is that low enough for you guys?

The last time I talked with Scotty was that he was going to look into the October race. In regards to the Novak race, he was debating which class to run foams in. I am guessing that foams would be run in at least modified since the Snowbirds is about 1 month after the Novak race. I would be willing to bet that there will be both foam and rubber running at the Novak race.

My thoughts and opinions do not reflect the direction that Scotty is going to go. I think the last time I talked with him was at the Carpet Nats in Minn.

futureal,

Oh i did not know that. Last time i saw brad run asphalt he was really fast...so i was just assuming. I don't blame him for running foams on carpet again, i am too!

I hope he hosts Oktoberfast this year that'd be great. In regards to the novak race, i would be willing to bet there will be stock, expert stock and modified foam classes and stock and expert rubber, and of course sportsman.

Cypress, this guy is pretty quick, and Toastie is coming up from Austin, Tom R is coming up from Shreveport, LA and there are a couple of fast asphalt guys coming from Jackson, MS. I'm just wondering if you guys will make the main... As for putting our guy in 6th, that would be great!!
