Here's the link to the Beat the Heat thread- http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthre...threadid=18299

You'll notice some smack talking from some of the outa town guys already...

If you carpet racers are worried about scratching your chassis' just do what I do and buy one of those AE chassis protector sheets for $8. They work great and when you pull it off, just use motor spray or Albany brake cleaner from AutoZone to clean the adhesive off. The Albany brake cleaner is also the only brake cleaner I know of that doesn't harm lexan. You can use it to clean scuffs off your body, and use it for motor spray, too. Also cleans tires without drying out the rubber too quickly.

RB: an A-main is an A-main, I just copy Pulfer's set-up and Qualify a bit behind him! You know he can do it, and Mo can definitely do it, so can Switzer, so I'm fairly confident I could stick it in there, and as you know, all I gotta do to be in the Top 5 of any A-main is Qualify in the Top 10. CAN YOU SAY HOLESHOT?!!! Oh well, I just checked my available vacation at work and If I intend to do the hardcore Carpet thing this winter, I won't be able to make it anyway. Kind of a bummer, I actually wouldn't mind trying a little rubber tire racing again. It can't suck as bad as it did when I quit running it before.

Oh well, ROAD RAGE 4 this weekend, and then I might hang the X-Ray up 'till the new carpet goes down at Ultra. It's starting to get HOT outside.

I could have won the GT1 class in Memphis but I didn't want to take all the hard ware home to Milwaukee! LOL I'd love to come and bring some of the cheese heads but I don't think it will happen. No I am not scared! Have fun at the Beat the Heat race!

I just wanted you gusy to know that one of our local fast guys that won the Mod Sedan class in BTH Race last year also won the GT1 class here in Memphis at the TCS race this year, along with the mod points championship in 2002. It's been overheard that he doesn't really think anyone can come to his home track and whip him on asphalt. I told him there was some really fast guys from Autin TX and also from IN, but he didn't care. I told him Pimpedaccord is supposed to come and he believes he can't be beaten in stock. May be true- not sure. A lot of this info is second hand.

Well I'm not trying to start any wars or anything, but some of us Memphis guys are tired of seeing thsi guy win. Will somebody please step up to the plate?

note- if you know the guy, please don't let the cat out of the bag. This is all for fun.

Rather than buying people tickets to go race him, buy him a ticket to Huntington Beach, and have him race at SoCal. His head will get deflated in a heartbeat.
