Default My car is almost ready....need advice

on wheels and tires. I want to get chrome/satin wheels, but I don't want to glue the tires to them. Are there any tires available that do NOT have to be glued? Thanks.

Um you're probably not going to find pre-glued tires or I dont think ones that aren't glued even exist. But I know losi carries pre-glued tires but they dont have chrome rims just a solid white hub. Maybe your local hobby shop will glue them for you (maybe even for free.)

Actually, WHat I am looking for is tires that do NOT have to be glued at all (if they even exist). I want to buy some silver wheels for the car, but do NOT want to glue tires to them.

If I run the car without them being glued, they'll come right off right?

They wont come right off, but eventually if you do soem hard turning yes they will come off. You could try taping the tires to the wheels some how, or you can use foam tires but not if you're going to run it on the street.

If your's trying to save your new wheels, just buy 2 sets. You have to glue the tires if you want to have fun tho. They don't make tires that stay on with out glue.

They sell Take Offs tires and wheels that come pre-mounted. You have to glue the bead of the tire on to the wheel before you use them tho.

The only setup like that, that I know of is the beadlock wheels for the T-Maxx. Personally I think some shrunk down beadlocks would look great on a TC but no-one has made any yet.

You could allways use the silver/satin wheels for show and get a diffrent pair to bash around with. If you run the tires on the wheels with out gluing them they will eventually come off and ruine your wheels. Take off sells pre glued tires that work great for racing as well as bashing around but only come in a 16 spoke cross wheel or a new dish wheel in white.

What we are all trying to say here is no there are no tires available to mount onto a silver rim, or any rim that does not require gluing. Even foams need to be glued to the rim.
