First, I am sorry to see you close up... I hope the best for your family and you..... I was looking online last week for some parts and I was hoping to order some this week... Can we still order online?

BTW, after talking with you at the birds this year, I went and got a TOP Scythe sedan and I am glad I did.. I am so pleased with it that I sold my X-ray T-2 and going with the Scythe as a second car as well....

Such a Shame

Sorry to hear that Josh, with the ever higher cost of gasoline, the customers cutback were they can, and usually it is their hobby that goes 1st,

good luck with your business, and your racing,,

Hey Josh!

I was fortunate enough to make it out there for last years nats and you deserve all the credit in the world for shouldering the track and business! Well, you AND your family!

While a top-notch, beautiful track and shop is a hard loss I hope you are looking forward to not having that stress and getting back to doing what you love most! Sorry to your local racers but congratulations on making a decision that will surely do you a world of good!

Great Job on Running that track for so long and very best of luck!

Casey

Sorry to hear about your track closing Josh. But it sounds like you've got a good attitude about it and sound almost relieved a little too.

We all hate to hear about any track closing.

What's important is that you have a Great Attitude and move on to do what you love.... Racing.

Ah heck, just come back to Omaha. You can call "The Plex" your new home now?

Hoping everything turns out fine.

I'm sad to see the track go but Josh has to do what he has to do. I always had an awesome time when I was there. Great facility, great racing and not to mention a great group of guys made it a pleasure to race there. Thanks for the memories!

Sorry to see you go Josh and Co.. I have to admit , your track was the nicest surface I have ever raced on. I feel the reason most tracks close is due to relying on racing to keep the doors open. Everyone that runs a track MUST have a hobby shop first. You surely have a well stocked store for racers, but it is the regular customers that buy monster truck stuff and other non-racing oriented items that keep the doors open. I personally will miss having a PROFESSIONAL TRACK in town to race on.

Probably the best race I have ever seen was at your track, 1/12th Mod A3 at the 2007 Carpet Nats.

The 1/12th Mod mains were crazy, Dumas lead all of A1 until he and Bobby Flack got tangled and let Blackstock take the win.

In A2 there was a demo derby, with the #10 qualifier (Cyrul) leading the first lap and taking the win.

In A3, Dumas lead Blackstock for 8 minutes, the lead was NEVER more than one second the entire 8 minutes. Dumas had to win by 0.411 seconds to win the title via tie-breaker, he won by 0.554, so he had a HUGE cushion of 0.143 seconds.

Sorry to hear about the track closing.

Josh, If you haven't done it yet ........ make sure you take a few laps with the 1/8th car. Paragon 'er all up and light the fuse. I closed my shop that way and closed Rain City that way. It's the proper thing to do!

Best of luck in the future!

We could do with more indoor tracks like CEFX in the UK (all the time the weather is unsettled as it has been!), but as others have said it sounds like you're focusing on the future and your other business, and thats a good thing

Send the track out in style and long live the memories of happy times you've had and shared

Sorry to hear the bad news. I also heard something about Steel City closing, but I hope not. Anytime I made the trip to CEFX raceway I had a good time. Goetz, McBride and myself will be there saturday for one last hurrah!!!!

Maybe Goetz can teach you the art of jumping jacks.
