Default 13.5 Hacker

I'm wondering is the Hacker brushless motor is design for TC not Off road?
seem to me the 13.5 doesn't have the torque and spool up power compare the 13.6 novak....But the top end power is there, just the bottom end

Stewartfan20- I normally like to see the motors come off the track at 140-180 depending on gearing. It is possible to overheat the motor if it is undergered. you will accelerate very fast leaving you no choice but to use almost full throttle around the whole track.

Martin- I would start around 5.0fdr you might need a little more gear if on a large track. If on a small track you might want to try around 5.2

Michael- All of the E40 series will come with a sintered rotor. We do not make a bonded type rotor.

Thunderbt3- Will do. I took a few 17.5s and 13.5s to the toldedo show this weekend. The booth should be back soon. I will try to send some.

Jaz406- Thanks! I have put a lot of time into these motors over the last year. To hear they are working great for everyone makes me smile.

The 13.5 motors worked very well at this years cactus classic in the stock class. James Gallatin finished 2nd over all in the tripple A-mains. I will talk to him and see what kind of gearing he was running. The motors ran very well in his truck.

Where are you located? You can purchase them online at stomerhobbies if they are in stock still. If not you can contact the office at (480) 726-7519 and put one on backorder.

If possible I would suggest changing the timing on the esc.
If you need to change the timing in the motor you can loosen the 3 screws on the back of the motor and rotate the timing ring counterclockwise about half of what it is now. Normally the motors comes with the ring in the the center of the allowed rotation. I would make a mark at where it is now on the can if neccessary.

Hopefully in the future we can incorperate a timing mark. Changing the timing on the esc is always the prefered method.

What is the preferred speedo to use with a Hacker 13.5 for multiple uses, oval, offroad and road course?

The Novak GTB and LRP are the only 2 at the moment which have been tested many times in all applications. All of the other ESC's will work great, we havent had a problem on any esc at the moment.

I suppose the Losi Sensored will work well with the Hacker. Anyone know...is the Losi sensored product made by Novak?

Thanks
