Many Hobbyshops will be carrying our products shortly. We have a steady flow of new dealers coming in as we speak. If there is a certain hobbyshop that doesnt carry the motors please have them contact us at the office (480) 726-7519

You can also buy direct from Hacker Brushless USA if neccessary.

I was at the carpet nationals as well and was impressed by the Hacker Power.

I'm looking at 10.5 and 17.5 for 1/12 scale, any recomendations on ESC?

Thanks in Advance.

At the moment the esc which works best I have found is the Novak GTB. Some of our drivers also liked the feel of the LRP TC Spec. Both work excellent.

Another question that I haven't seen answered yet...

I want to run these motors in both on and off road cars. Do you recommend one type over another? Same ESC (I was already eyeballing the GTB) for both?

Thanks!! This is a very useful and helpful thread!!!

I have also been doing some Off-Road testing. We ran them at the Cactus classic and they worked excellent. The LRP 007 Comp was the ESC that was used. The speedo was ran with timing advance in the esc as well as timing advance in the motor. This seemed to create more heat then we wanted so turning the timing down on the motor seemed to help out with temp.

In off road I would also suggest running the motors 1-2 teeth above the Novak motors.

If you would like to change the timing on the motor you can loosen the 3 screws in the back and turn it counter clockwise to advance. This will change the placement of the sensor and imatate timing.

We have also been using the Losi esc with great sucess. It seems to have the smoothest throttle feel Jason E has used so far.

What is a good target temp for the 17.5? Do all the motors come with a standard timing?

I ran a Hacker 17.5 for the first time on Sunday. My FDR was 4.1 (rubber tires) and the motor came off at 165. Last night, I had the same FDR and it thermaled at 180. The car's drive train wasn't binding up. Is it possible for the motor to thermal if it is under geared?

Thanks.

5.0 - 5.2 is a good FDR for most 10.5's
