Has this happened to anyone?

Only time I have had that happen with mine I was way over timed and geared. Back the timing off a hair and see if it helps. Its almost like a cogging feel but just at the very start after that its gone...hope this helps.

What timing do you set with your E40 sensorless? I can see that less than 15deg causes cogging, quite nice is 30deg.

What's the rotor size that motors come with? 5.5T and 17.5T? I didn't manage to find the answer from the homepage. I guess the 12.5mm is the one the motor comes with and 13mm is the biggest "tuning roter" one could get (according to www.stormerhobbies.com)?

I would like to know how to change timing as well with my 10.5. I can't see any timing marks on the can.

Does the 10.5 come with a standard amount of timing from new?

The endbell looks a lot like the Novaks with the periodical indentation on it. But when the Novak's are new these indentations are evenly spaced from the solder tabs etc. On the Hacker its already twisted around quite along way?

Thanks
Skiddins

Hi all

How would you guys gear a Hacker 13.5 compared to a Novak?
I'm just replaced my 3 year old 13.5 Novak with a nice shiney new Hacker and was wondering if they gear the same?

Thanks

Gearing will be a bit different Novak seems to have more rpm where the Hackers seem to have more torque. I would go down a tooth or 2 and start from there. Temp each time until you get the desired rip n speed. As for the rotors they all come with 12.5 rotors as per the rules but you can buy the optional 13mm. To adjust the timing on the motors loosen the 3 rear screws ans turn left to advance and right to retard. There aren't any marks so i would mark the can first to kind of give you a starting point.
