need some advice here:

what is the optimum temp to run a 11.5 motor?

is there any instructions or diagrams on how to change the motor timing?

Thanks.

Default 13mm rotor

Hi there racers
has anyone fitted the 13mm rotor to the 13.5 hacker motor ? what was the differance in the motor performance, more torque at low speed would be my guess.

You get more overall power but I also noticed with mine if you slow too much in the corner it starts to drag down abit.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what size pinions and spurs I should have?
I am building a rc12l with 48 pitch gears, and running a Hacker 17.5.
Can I get large enough pinions in 48 pitch?

Thanks

I don't know about 48 pitch, but 64 pitch I'd run a 76 or 78 spur and start around a 75mm rollout.

An actual 12l or did you mean a 12l4? If you have an unmoded 12l I'm thinking the motor will be a tough fit in the pod much less a big enough pinion on the motor. I've been running a 74t(64 pitch) and 52 to 55 pinion on my 17.5.

Yea, it's a 12l. Here is a picture of it:

I was told the brushless will fit with a little bit of work from a dremel (not on the motor).
We'll see what happens.

Just ordered Hacker's 13.5 & 17.5 on the 24th. Anybody know if I'm gonna get the plug-in sensor harness? The web site isn't specific.

Hope these motors are as good as everyone says, Novak LRP and Trinity seem pretty average lately. It's time for some real rip!

Jim, I ordered my Hacker 17.5 (and it had to be supplied by Hacker USA for the order, it wasn't stocked by the shop) months ago, maybe September, and it has a plug-in sensor wire.

That's what I wanted to hear Adam. How is your 17.5 perfomance wise?

I don't think it has an advantage over the Trinity Duo. I've been running it for all these months, including at Chilliwack, Edmonton, Cleveland, and Minot.
