who care if this company makes a motor for an other motor company or the color of the motor can is different. A true racer only care about how does that motor performs and so far hacker motors has been outstanding at the track and that should be the bottom line.

Right, and now that we all know that Hacker and Losi motors are almost one in the same, than any true racer will be happy to have this knowledge.

I think you missed the point entirely buddy, so let me recap for you. What everyone was eluding to was that this is a GOOD thing for Losi that their motors were made by Hacker. Obviously who makes a motor is a major issue or there wouldn't be so much discussion about it. Mark my words, Losi will sell more motors now that this is known. If in fact its true. Enough with all of this dancing around the issue. Kyle, please put this to rest quickly. Is Hacker producing Losi's motors or not? Its a simple question that only requires a one word answer.
Also, if you dont care who makes your motor, then just go buy one of these because chances are thats what you're gonna get with some brands label on it.

Sorry, I missed your post the first time by.

Yes, I just may play in the dirt again. I hope to break free this summer and run some brushless offroad. I have a shiny new Hacker BL, ready to run.

Something doesn't sound right. My Hacker motors are quiet. I find the SP motors to be a bit on the noisy side. You may want to check the bearings, pull the rotor out and inspect the internals, and possibly send back in for a warranty repair. Kyle will get you fixed up if there is anything wrong with the motor.

Mine was loud too. My SP is whisper quiet, the Hacker screamed around the track. I dont know if it matters, but the SP has front and rear bearings and the Hacker only has an end one I think?

What gearing are folks using for the 10.5. I used the same as I did for a SP 10.5 (4.96 FDR) and it was about 30 degrees warmer and thermalled right at 4:57 twice. At least I was consistent

Mine was a 17.5 as well. Theres no question it was a loud motor. Go back a page and look, is there 2 bearings?
