I`ll be able to answer some of your questions ...but I`ll have to do some research on the other ones
timing is at 24 deg
they have compression welded comm tabs
Bushings only( Yokomo has some awesome low friction ones now)
max price is 4000 Yen
4 arm blanks are available
3mm 6 port(RPM BLANK)
3mm 3 port(TORQUE BLANK)
4mm
5mm
3 comm styles
9mm comm(mid size)
7.6mm comm( small or STD comm )
7.6mm Spiral comm ..
epoxy balancing is leagal so is drilling
As far as the brushes go they "CAN NOT BE SOLDERED ON" eyeor ring terminals only...but you can use double shunt wires

It seems Like Sagami Micro has the Best deal since they make 90% of all the parts for the motors now..

I hope this helps a little

Thanks for the reply Dave, As always you’re a plethora of information…

Can you direct me to a link containing the rules and specs for the 23t motors….

Do you know if the fan used in the Tectro 23t motor is there own design, meaning they have this piece manufactured rather than purchasing it OEM….

Thanks,

The newer 3mm core rotors (Higher RPM and they seem to have a bit more torque... might be something with the laminations)

It nees some serious help ... It seams the gearing that Xenon recommends is off quite a bit... they say to gear in the 6.8~7.2 range... but try around 5.9-6.4 range ..also you should try to shim the rotor inside the cans magnetic feild also adjust the brush hoods..also there is a lot of play with the brush in the hood on the + & - side
the most RPM and torque I was able to get from this motor so far was 30500 Rpm @7.2V and about 8amps @ 7.2V...
but the torque curve on this motor on my fantom dyno is very narrow

JDM, appreciate your response.

What do you normally do to a 23T once you get one new? And what are the important points to maintain the performance of the motor?ie, speed, torque, etc...

1st thing Align the the brush hoods and get rid of all of the slop in the negative side of the hood... also try a bit siffer spring on the + side... for starters... theres a bunch more but.... .. . . .. thats another time
