Yes,
its quite fast... compare to the tamiya type RR, or the old version Yokomo T-maxx... but seems not the rival of the new yokomo or mirage.

hi guys, i ran a yok SR recently in a yok SP at 5.89 on a tight bumpy track with max 50 meters straight.

i found it has very poor torque though it has efficient spped and runtime, all the guys with RSL LR LT xenon blue and red label are much faster.

I am the only guy on the track using ther yok SR , so anybody using SR with experience please let me know ways to counter the poor torque problem.

thanks

how many packs do you have on the SR? 4 packs and it should come alive..the SR really has no torque. very true but it`s a vert fast motor if you gear it right...try using a 6.1 final and see how it comes out...I now run mine at 6.3 and they really move..also my lap times are faster..too

I have used 10 packs through it. I have tried gearing at 6.2 and 6.3 it is still a disadvantage for this motor on a small track.

I feel it is better to gear a torque motor to your desired speed than to gear a rpm motor to your desired torque.

You should try a ST and gear t arounf 5.4~5.5 ..it`s quite a good motor also.."lots" of torque

Dave, maybe you can help me with this. What is the difference between the Atlas Respo oil red, green and the new blue?

Thanks, Muhannad.

Sure

the Red is like the Trinity Royal Oil, the Green is a tad bit thicker Oil...kind of like Orion Free Rev's and the new BLUE is made for bushings.... thats all that I use now...great stuff..
