it`s pretty god but the newer Yokomo and Echo motors will put the smackdown on it......but the newer Metalic Gray can one has the newer 3mm core so it`s comparable to the new Yokomo SR... RPM is the strong point of this motor...

5.6~5.8 would be the lowest I would go...with the R...and it spits out about 30000~31000 rpm on it`s state of tune.

Default Yokomo T-maxx

Hi,

What is the gearing suggestion for the previous
model of yokomo t-maxx with laydown brush ?

I dunno what's the exact model, it has a dark grey
can, and a black brush heatsink.

I wonder if anyone got a chart for gearing suggestion
for all the 23T. I see that each has it's own characteristics.

please advise.

to be on the Safe side....

the motor you are talking about is a RSL...

for a track thats about the size of 160m I would say a 5.4~5.6 would be a safe bet.... but on a track thats a bit smaller about 100m I would say 5.7~6.0... you can gear up or down .1 for all the conditions.. depending on motor..Temp.

Thumbs up Echo SQ!!!!!!!!

Well the king of RPM has now been over thrown!!! Move over Yokomo SR the new Echo SQ just beat it buy a mile!!!
Ok so heres the deal I have tweaked out my SR to all hell and back..and it can get no more than 36500+~- 500rpm at 7.2 V...

So the New ECHO SQ came out yesterday and I rean 3 packs trough it today and skimmed the come and put new brushes in it for good measurre...and all I can say is Man !!!! this thing has RPM!! Sound like a Mod motor winding out!!! no BS!! I checked it on my MMS and it pulled 36700rpm with 7.2 with only brushes cahged and aslight skim of the come...I have yet to play with the springs or a different brush!! ..SO I think that part of it has to do with the Screw Com thats on the PQ and SQ...

more testing to come 38000rpm+ or bust

also gearing this SQ is in the 5.8+ range and the torque is a little bit less than the PQ ..but alot more than the SR Yok//

Hi Dave

I just got my Tamiya RR from R10, what are your recommendations on improving the motor? Rod and I are preparing for a regional Tamiya race.

Neil, I hope you aren't planning on running the 23T during this weekend's TCS...it's for the nationals only...best you find this out now before you get DQed lol.

I look forward to testing

Default HIGH RPM 23T

hey every one
i race in the meca challenge in australia , its one of very few 23t classes we have, but everyone loves it. i was wondering if some of you, most probably JDM dohc, because he seems to know almost everything , if any of you could please tell me what motor out of this list has the most rpm or is the fastest, as these are the only ones i am accesible to :
ATLAS:
progress
solid
force pink
splash gold team edition
KAWADA:
Vstock
Vstock R
VS stock
VS stock R laydown
VX stock R
YOKOMO:
TMAX zero RST
TMAX zero R
TMAX zero SR
TMAX zero LR
TMAX zero ST
TMAX zero LT

in particular to JDM_DOHC_SiR, if you think there are others that are faster than those in the list, could you please post a link or inform me of how to contact the particular shop, preferrably online, so that i can order one,
thanx everyone
any info would be appreciated

thanx
robbie
