Default Lipo Optimized Touring car: Losi JRXS Type R or Team Magic E4?

I have been looking at potentially getting a new TC that is optimized for lipos and brushless. The main 2 chassis that I came up with are the JRXS and the E4. I currently have a TC5 and have to add weight on the battery side to get it to balance properly. Although this is not a problem, I thought that maybe trying something else may be fun to do.

Which one do you prefer and why? I currently run rubber carpet and will be running rubber asphalt once the weather gets better. I run with a 10.5 BL motor.

Try Kyosho TF 5 or Stallion they will fit lipos up to 8000mah.

Default lipo optimized

If you want a lipo optimized car, get the losi type R. Good part support, simple design, inexpensive parts, and a proven winner.

Check this out for your TC5: Lipo weights for TC5

Here is my car with it installed: Link

It works quite well, especially if you couple it with the Diggity Designs Lipo tray here.

I hope that helps.

Or if IFMAR okays lipo, the 2009 XRay will probably be optimized for lipo.

i would probably wait and see what xray comes out with for their next car, hopefully it will be geared more towards li-pos. keep the tc5, losi doesnt even have an on road program any more no factory drivers.

Not exactly...Losi just inst wasting money on paid factory drivers to save costs. but they are working on the car and testing new things and will continue to produce pro TCs.

For now, nothing better than a Type R over all...parts are very cheap, and easy to get and in abundance, and the car is very easy to work on and drives smooth and easy.

The Type R works just as good on asphalt also Jason Shreffler, Mike Haynes, and Larry can put on a clinic on any top driver on asphalt, like they did on carpet @ Snowbirds 2008. The car is very versatile and can truly work just a well on both surfaces out of the box.
