Default MM Motor Cooler on a BL motor

Has anybody tried using a motor cooler on a brushless motor?? I was just wondering if anybody has tried this and if it made much difference.

Thanks

Heat kills. I don't know why it wouldn't help.

Typically on a brushless setup, I would expect the ESC to get hotter than the motor, hence on some brushless setups you see a fan on the ESC and not on the motor and a feature on the ESC to tell you how hot we are getting under that bodyshell.

There is less drag on a brushless motor than a brushed, but probably a lot more components on a typical Brushless ESC than there is on a brushed motor ESC.

All things considered, yes you could run a cooler on a b/l motor, but I doubt you would notice much, if any difference.

I've used one in 12th when I run 13.5 or 17.5 Seems to work pretty well for getting a little extra at the start (first minute or so). After that it's the same.

You do have to be careful about getting the motor too cool and getting a lot of moisture condensed in the circuitboard inside. It can make things a little interesting if that happens.
