I'm quite surprised to hear a lot of you havenít seen this before...

It seems to go on quite a bit in the UK, usually on 'fun nights' at local clubs, just to spice things up a little in-between championships. They're usually scheduled in the calendar well in advance to give people time to make a caravan.

You should just chat about it to your local club and see if thereís any interest, its a good laugh.

We've also done things like balloon racing too - Imagine, for those that know it, Mario Kart, ya know when your kart had round objects your opponent had to destroy? well, We'd hand out 3 drawing pins, which could be tapped to the body shell however you wanted, and 1 balloon attached to the wing of every car, the aim, to pop everyone elseís balloon. We did this racing around the track, and started the race with cars staggered at different corners. When thereís 2 cars left they can go round the track in whatever direction they please otherwise it could take a while for it to be game over!!! Might have some health and safety issues though

But its good fun for a club to relax and introduce something a little different

Caravans aren't something you see much in the US even in full scale. In fact most Americans probably don't even know the term caravan outside of the Dodge minivan.

Not only RC caravan races in UK, they took this idea from real cars, i am sure about that.

After several requests I've edited the title of this thread to read "Where can I race this class it looks like a lot of fun!"

Sorry I didn't get to it sooner...

You know how you hear the complaints that Sedan racing is getting too fast? Have one vehicle have one of these in every sedan race including it having red flashing warning lights. Just as what normally happens when those try to go up hills.

you need one towed by an impossibly small rover or honda driven by two people who look like they should be dead, with a tartan blanket on their rear seat with a small white terrier on. that will slow down sedan racing.

anyone driving through the UK in summer will know what i mean

They run this sort of thing in the South (USA). The difference is they run 30' camper trailers. Then they break out with the School buses.
Most of us know what a "Caravan" is even before the Top Gear show.
