Default spur gear adapter?

guys, help on my tt01.

i need to have higher spur gear (more teeth).

is there a way for me to adapt other brands of spur with hi # of teeth?

tamiya is 64p(if not mistaken) - but if i can install, say - HPI 80T (or others with a different pitch and just get the same pitch pinion) would it be possible.

i know tamiya has a SPUR "holder" or that metal thing and HPI has a SPUR ADAPTOR.

any suggestion??

reason: need to gear "down" or increase the teeth on spur and lower pinion teeth.... over heat on mamba esc

thanks..
