Default 23T stock

Anyone want to recommend me a good 23T stock motor? Need a good balance between torque and RPM.

Hey

From my last race i'd reccommend the Orion Katana motor, or Excel Fireblade... same motor just labelled differently. It has a good mix of both, lots of power and torque but it revs nicely too.

I've yet to try any of the latest gen Yokomo's, Luna's and Xenon's, of which i've heard good things, but i dont think you'll have too much trouble with either Yokomo, Luna or the Orion.

Cheers,

Robbie

I read about the yokomo 23T prostock2 motor, and it is dirt cheap. But I also hear that the motor only lasts about 7 packs before the rpms go down. Don't know if this falls under the "you get what you pay for" theory, but it is fast (27000+ rpm). Perhaps this is the kind of motor that you need for that "one race" that counts lol.

I'm having great luck with the Brood-tuned Atlas 23t. I race it in my club's 13.5 class. Eight minute races, too. I am reasonably careful with maintenance, but I'll run a full slate of practice, two quals, a main, and usually another run or two afterwards on one comm cut. I use 767 brushes with purple springs and replace the brushes every two nights of racing. Every other comm cut, basically. It's a great motor and runs dead-nuts with the 13.5. Oh, and FDR of 6.56.

I buy the blueprinted version.
