David Joor: Can you give me a call when you get a chance. Ron has my number if you don't.

Got back from the Birds and I must say that race is just plain crazy. I got 23 hours of sleep in 7 days, built a 1/12th scale car the day of qualifying, people don't care if they hack you, and practice is usually in 45 minute spurts so you don't get a chance to run twice (you have to change the car and wait 10 more hours until your up again).

Ron and I both had horrible weekends. Neither of us had a clean run ever mainly due to sleep deprevation, I will never do the whole new car bit before a big race again. Funny thing is though, Ron got the CEFX car into the show in stock and I got 15th overall in 1/12 Pro Mod.

This was my first race with Putnam and I must say I am so glad to be on his onroad team. Both my vehicles were up to speed with TQ laptimes and straight away speed, in 1/12th I was making easy time and I WASN'T even using a receiver pack with a 8x1. The batteries and motor were just perfect. Ended up 24th in Touring Pro Mod and qualified 9 seconds off of TQ, so it was a tight field. Anways, that was my experience, I am going to try and make to carpet nats so that I can goto a race were I can actually make changes to the car and test immediately so I don't forget what the car was doing and get some sleep.

David, Ron, Todd, Toastie- man we had a blast with you guys once again!!! David I appreciate you helping me out with my little dilemma- I'm glad you were pleased with the results!! LOL

Ron my batteries were SMOKIN!!! Between you supplying me good batteries and Eric's motor tuning, it was ridiculous how poorly I drove.. Sorry bro, I wish I had put those awesome Kinetix packs in the show again.

However, the most important thing is that we had fun and represented pretty well.

I was trying to remember the funniest thing I could think of from the race...
- "STOP!!! STOP!!!! STOP!!!... DAMMIT STOP!!!!"- quote from the announcer of the oval races after a wreck in practice- many times...LOL

- "I want YOU baby" quote from me.

RON A: Thanks again for the great packs! I had great power for my qualifiers, just too many other problems, and ended up in the bottom of the B main for Sportsman 19. You were there, so you know how hard it was to get clean runs at the Birds! At any rate, thanks again!! Ill do better next year.

- Dave

Amen to that Dave!! I was so discouraged with trying to get a clean run that I didn't even care if I made it to the mains or not. Heck, I didn't bother skimming the comms on my motors or anything. Oh well, maybe I can make it the Nats and get a clean run...

Jason- It was good to see you down at the Birds . I can not believe how bad it was down there this year with lap traffic and getting hacked.

Dave...your car looked good on that one run you had after you got all your problems taken care of.

See you all next year and remember....steel front bumpers for next year!!!!

I wanted to repost this because I purchased some of the T-shirts and a sweatshirt for myself. They are top quality and I'm very pleased with them. Leave it to Joor to find the coolest t-shirt printing service on the internet!!

Good seeing you as well, Mike W. Man there was NO love on the driver's stnad when I was racing. I even made that comment to Sam after a run.

Sounds like some bad racing went on. Guess we need to work on a set of nerf bars and some bumpers..

Yeah I have gotten some shirts from David. They are of great quality and they get to your home pretty fast.

Hey Bigdog...made my plan reservations for the carpet nats today...130.00 round trip!! You need to make yours too!! Should be a great race.

Hey David it was nice meeting you at the birds...Maybe we can all hook up at the nats and have a good time....not as much work as the birds!!

Ron get Josh to send me a 12th car for the state race in a few weeks!!
