No reason for the lipo packs to be handouts...

He does, but he likes to wear tight little dresses at big races ...and he needs a pad to crash at just in case he hooks up with someone.

Congrats Billy and speedworld, well deserving. You are a great ambassador for the hobby and person. You have worked hard over the years to have a race at this level to have World Champions and the best drivers in the World come to your facility and race. Scotty, you are the man. That is going to be awesome to see Billy and Scotty in the same house for the week of racing. And to Mike Reedy, you are the true man and legend, which is why this race will live forever.

Thanks guys, Great to hear everyone is pumped about the race. It is going to be great. Rules and specs are being worked on as we speak and we will post it as soon as we have it done.

Things are going to move real quick in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned and pass the word to your friends about the race.

We will keep everybody updates as quick as we can.

Thanks
Scotty

Hello everyone, first I would like to thank Mike Reedy and Team Associated for giving SpeedWorld Raceway the opportunity to host one of the most prestige’s races in the world.
Mike Reedy, you have been a friend for many years and I am honored and feel very privileged to even be asked no less than to host this event at our facility and it will never be forgotten nor you my friend.
There are so many great tracks around the USA that are better than SpeedWorld, so I feel we are blessed for this opportunity and to be able to watch the best drivers in the world race at our track that myself, my wife, Tracy and best friend Jon Anderson had built in 1999. We built this facility because of the love of the hobby. The people I have met over the years have become some of my dearest friends that I will never forget. I am sure Fred and Tamiya will be building a new race facility within the next year or so and the Reedy Race of Champions will return back to So-Cal area. It is hard to live up to the standards that were set by the best facilities in the country Ripon Speedway Dan Tanner & Scott Tommicello who started the Reedy Race of Champions Touring Car back in 1999 and then moved to the most beautiful race track and race site in country, Tamiya. Fred from Tamiya was the leader that made this Reedy Race ever so popular and prestiges besides Mike Reedy and Scotty E. It is going to be difficult to live up to the standards of those two GREAT facilities, but I do feel that I have one most important person running the Reedy Race event again and at SpeedWorld and that is Scotty E, the best in the business.

I look forward in working with Scotty/Reedy/ Team Associated in the next few months and can not wait to see some of my long distance friends again.

SpeedWorld has a full plate of races in 2008 Electric and Nitro and NOW rebuilding SpeedWorld is at another level.

I would like to give a special thanks to all the racers, river city r/c and hobby shop owners that helped make SpeedWorld re-model possible in 2008 and also help me make the decision to host the 2008 Reedy Race at the last minute. I would have not accepted the Reedy Race if it was not for the re-model. It is not that I did not want the Reedy Race, It was only based on that I felt that the Reedy Race and you racers dissevered better than what SpeedWorld had to offer before the re-model. These kinds of race are very memorable.

Special thanks go to Scotty Barnes, Kyle Scutz, Marc Richards and my wife Tracy for their dedications to help finish the re-model every night after work and weekends until the project is done. Hope to be done no later than March 16 or 20 at the latest.

Thanks Billy and Tracy Bowerman
