2.5T on 6cells gear ratio??

Hi guys,

I'll be trying the latest Orion Vortex 2.5T motor with 6 cells but I'was going to start at FDR:

13FDR or 12.18 FDR

Do you think thats correct or?? (a 3.5T on 6cells is 9.2 starting point)

Thanks!!

Hy,
you just have to tried the ratio out ..
start at 11 and watch the temeratur of esc and motor to adjust the ratio..

it depent alot of the track your running (big / small) but with a 2,5T and 6 cell you need a big track .:)

how long you can turn with a 2,5T ? I drive on a big track here in luxembourg and last year somethimes I do not finish with a 3,5T and 6 cells the 5minutes runtime :( these year I run on 5 cells so i need to run a 4,5T or maybe a 4T to finish the 5minutes ...
regards Tom

all i can say if its anything like the SpeedPassion 2.5 its insane to say the least.
I would say start around 18/19mm rollout and adjust from there and pull back a lot on the exponential as its fierce off the line.
If you have the SpeedPassion GT esc then you could tame it with the DRSS settings.

2.5 on 6 cells... you're brave :D I frightened myself with a 13 triple....

Make sure you have a good chassis setup, as an ill handling car with that kind of speed is really going to be noticable on the infield.

call ahead to the hobby shop and tell them you'll be making a purchase.
