so its safe to charge at 3amps

btw can you explain this? i dont quite understand it
You have to remember that once a pack hits 8.4v(80% charge) the amp rate drops till the pack is 100% charged/.. its no like it takes the hit of amps right to the 100% charge point.. there is no risk of overcharge

bro, you can charge it at 1C rate, which is 3.2 amps using the hyperion 610 charger. this will give you good performance/lifespan. i charge my orion 3600 at 3.6amps using hyperion 0606i charger.

Yeah Racing recommend 1C is all you should charge these at. Manufactures recommend the charge rate for their own batteries.
People that charge batteries above the recommended rate are the reason lipo have had a bad name in the past. Sure, it works for a while but it shortens the batteries life and it is dangerous.
Anyone caught charging more than 1c at our club is asked to stop or leave.

If yeah only recomends that then go with that. but others such as orion and smc are recomending 1,2 and sometimes 3 C charging... With the disclaimer that the 1000cycle lifespan may be reduced....

the horror stories from lipo have been from using improper chargers or setting proper chargers wrong.

Over charging is dangerous(above 8.4volts)... Hi amp rates are not nessarily dangerous if the pack is designed for it.

all this while i have been charging at only 1 amp just to be on the safe side
so now i think i will charge at 3.2 amps

recieved my lipo fast. Everythign works good! This pack puts out more than enough juice for my vxl rustler, and for my mamba max 5700 in a TC3o v3.

Hope this helps anyone, i plan on buying another pack just so i can run a bit longer!!
